Al ruim 32 jaar toeren de uit NYC afkomstige en door critici geprezen Slackers de wereld rond met hun mix van Ska, Reggae, en Soul.
Sinds 1991 hebben de Slackers vijftien albums en ontelbare singles uitgebracht, terwijl hun duizenden live optredens hun fans voeden met energieke sets van extatische muziek.
Live At Ernesto’s is een album van The Slackers dat in 2000 werd uitgebracht door Hellcat Records. Het album is live opgenomen op 8 en 9 maart 1999 in een restaurant genaamd Ernesto’s in Sittard, Nederland. Bij ons dus.
In april 2022 brachten The Slackers een nieuw album uit, “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” (Pirates Press) dat al snel naar de top van de Amerikaanse billboard charts schoot. Dit is de eerste keer dat een album van de Slackers in de hitlijsten terecht is gekomen! Ironisch genoeg na 30 jaar als een band, kwalificeerde dit hen als een Billboard ‘nieuwe artiest’. De Washington Post merkte op dat de Slackers “aan de top van hun spel blijven.”
De chart topping uitvoering van “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” bekroonde een 2 jaar durende comeback van de Slackers. Toen Covid in 2020 live shows stopte, schakelden de Slackers over op livestreams en maakten ze 5 full band concerten die internationaal werden uitgezonden. Na de shows bleven ze in de studio en namen de nummers op die Sunlight werden.
Terugkerend naar live optredens in de 2e helft van 2021, vierde de band hun 30-jarig jubileum met 30 shows door de Verenigde Staten en Canada.
In 2022, hebben de Slackers 90 shows geboekt in de Verenigde Staten, Canada, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, en Europa. Bij ons speelde ze op 8 oktober.
20 juli spelen ze op ons prachtige podium! Onze deuren openen om 19.00u. De band vangt rond 21.00u aan.

The Slackers kick off their Europe tour with us this year, playing on our legendary stage on 20 July!
For over 32 years, the NYC-based and critically acclaimed Slackers have been touring the world with their mix of Ska, Reggae, and Soul.
Since 1991, the Slackers have released 15 albums and countless singles, while their thousands of live performances feed their fans with energetic sets of ecstatic music.
Live At Ernesto’s is an album by The Slackers released by Hellcat Records in 2000. The album was recorded live on 8 and 9 March 1999 at a restaurant called Ernesto’s in Sittard, the Netherlands. At our place, in other words.
In April 2022, The Slackers released a new album, “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” (Pirates Press) that quickly shot to the top of the US billboard charts. This is the first time an album by the Slackers has entered the charts! Ironically, after 30 years as a band, this qualified them as a Billboard “new artist”. The Washington Post noted that the Slackers “remain at the top of their game.”
The chart topping performance of “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” crowned a 2-year comeback for the Slackers. When Covid discontinued live shows in 2020, the Slackers switched to livestreams and made 5 full-band concerts that were broadcast internationally. After the shows, they stayed in the studio and recorded the songs that became Sunlight.
Returning to live performances in the 2nd half of 2021, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary with 30 shows across the United States and Canada.
In 2022, the Slackers have booked 90 shows across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe. With us, they played on October 8.
On July 20, they will play on our beautiful stage! Our doors open at 7pm. The band will start around 9pm.

Nach den Konzerten blieben sie im Studio und nahmen die Songs auf, aus denen Sunlight wurde.
In der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 2021 kehrte die Band zu Live-Auftritten zurück und feierte ihr 30-jähriges Jubiläum mit 30 Shows in den Vereinigten Staaten und Kanada.
Für das Jahr 2022 hatten die Slackers 90 Shows in den USA, Kanada, Großbritannien und Europa gebucht. Bei uns spielten sie am 8. Oktober.
Am 20. Juli spielen sie auf unserer schönen Bühne! Unsere Türen öffnen um 19 Uhr. Die Band wird gegen 21 Uhr beginnen.
